Eighth Sunday of Kingdomtide
Welcome! Whether you are joining us for the first time, returning after some time away, or have called this church home for many years, we are truly glad you are here.

Current Worship Series
The Ten Commandments are some of the most familiar words in Scripture. But are they simply ancient rules—or do they still have something to say about how we live today? In TEN: A Look at God’s Unwavering Commands, we explore each of the Ten Commandments alongside the New Testament. Together, we’ll discover that God’s commands are more than a list of “do’s and don’ts.” They reveal something about who God is, who God calls us to be, and the kind of life God desires for us. God’s way is still good, wise, and life-giving today.

Explore the weekly sermon blog, five daily devotions, daily quotes, video, audio, and podcast resources designed to help you continue the conversation, grow in your relationship with Jesus, and live out your faith throughout the week.

Can’t join us in person this Sunday? You can still worship with us wherever you are.
Watch our Sunday livestream on our website, or catch up anytime with service recordings on our new YouTube page.
Stay connected, worship with us, and share the service with someone who could use a word of hope this week.

ANNOUNCEMENTS & UPCOMING EVENTS

Celebrating Thomas Williams as our new Director of Discipleship!
We are grateful to share that Thomas Williams is stepping into the role of Director of Discipleship at St. Luke-Simpson. Thomas has already been faithfully leading worship here at his home church, and many of you already know him well. In this new role, Thomas will help us strengthen discipleship and spiritual formation, helping people move from worship into deeper relationships, Bible study, small groups, service, and leadership. He will also continue assisting with the modern portions of our blended worship service and help extend pastoral care and congregational connection. Please join us in celebrating Thomas and praying for him as he begins this new role among us.

Friday, October 23 & Saturday, October 24, 2026 8:00 a.m.–Noon
St. Luke-Simpson is making more room for the big things our future holds, and you are invited to be a part!
Come shop for treasures, handmade items, and gently used goods while supporting our church and community.
Want to be a seller? You can rent an 8-foot table with surrounding space for $25. This is a great opportunity to sell crafted items or pass along things you no longer need so someone else can enjoy them.
The sale will be cash only, and there will be no early birds.
To reserve a table or request more information, email [email protected].
We also need volunteers to help clean out spaces in preparation for Great Hearts and to serve as helping hands during sale hours. Volunteer workdays and times will be announced soon. Email the same address to sign up to help.
Come shop, sell, serve, and be part of a fun community event as we make room for what God is doing next at St. Luke-Simpson!

Join St. Luke-Simpson Youth for A Night at the Movies, a fun, family-friendly alternative to traditional trick-or-treating! Come in costume and enjoy decorated trunks, candy, games, prizes, popcorn, and plenty of fun for the whole family.
The event will be held Sunday, October 25, from 5:00–6:30 PM on the St. Luke-Simpson field, 1500 Country Club Road, Lake Charles.
Admission is a donation of canned or dry goods for our Food Pantry or a monetary donation to support a child’s education in Sierra Leone.
Want to join the fun by decorating a trunk and handing out goodies? Contact Doug Young at [email protected] or (337) 474-1500 to sign up. Please complete and send Doug the attached Covenant to participate!
Bring the family, invite your friends and neighbors, and join us for A Night at the Movies!

I would love to hear your story, learn what you love about our church, and listen to the hopes and dreams God has placed on your heart. You are always welcome to connect with me through an appointment, text, phone call, or email for pastoral care, questions, ideas, prayer, or simply conversation.
As a friendly reminder, Fridays are my Sabbath, set aside for rest, renewal, and time with my family. I kindly ask that you help me honor that rhythm by reaching out on Fridays only for urgent pastoral needs.
Thank you for being here today. May God strengthen our faith, deepen our life together, and lead us faithfully into the future. -Rev. Bradley
